From polished lime Venetian to structural crack stitching. Every system below is applied in-house by our own tradespeople — never subcontracted out.
Finish 01
Lime, marble dust and light. The oldest luxury surface there is.
Venetian plaster is a traditional decorative finish with origins dating back to ancient Rome. Made from slaked lime putty and finely ground marble, it is applied in multiple wafer-thin layers and compressed with a steel trowel until the surface burnishes to a stone-like depth.

The full decorative library — matched to the room, not to a catalogue.
Beyond polished Venetian sits an entire family of mineral decorative systems, each with its own texture, depth and behaviour under light. Limewash for soft cloudy movement. Travertino for the pitted, quarried look of natural stone. Concrete-effect systems for a raw architectural surface without the structural weight.

When the specification does not exist yet, we develop it.
Some projects arrive with a reference image rather than a product code — a surface seen in a hotel in Kyoto, a colour pulled from a piece of stone, a texture that has to tie a room to a single piece of joinery. This is where custom work begins.
Finish 04
Two to three millimetres. No grout lines, no joins, no substrate demolition.
Microcement is a polymer-modified cementitious coating applied at two to three millimetres total build — thin enough to go straight over existing tile, concrete, screed or cement sheet without demolition or a change in floor height.

The structural substrate everything else depends on.
Sand and cement render is the traditional solid plastering system: a cementitious mix applied directly to brick, block or masonry, ruled off, and floated or steel-trowelled to the required finish. It is what a genuine solid plasterer is measured by.

Lime for lime. Matched, not replaced.
Adelaide has an extraordinary stock of nineteenth and early twentieth century buildings, and a great deal of the damage done to them in recent decades was done with cement. Sealing a soft, lime-bound, solid masonry wall behind a hard cementitious render traps moisture in the stone and drives salt attack into the fabric.

The dead-flat, seamless wall that plasterboard has never quite matched.
White set is traditional solid plastering: a thin, hard gypsum-based finish coat trowelled over a render or masonry backing to produce a dense, seamless, monolithic surface. No sheet joins, no recessed edges, no cornice cracking along a sheet line.
Finish 08
Flexible, coloured through, and built for an Adelaide summer.
Acrylic render is a polymer-modified coating applied over a cementitious base, blockwork, AAC panel or cladding board. Unlike sand and cement it is flexible, which lets it accommodate the thermal movement a South Australian façade goes through between a 42-degree afternoon and a two-degree night.

Fix the cause, stitch the crack, then make it disappear.
Adelaide's reactive clay soils move. They swell in a wet winter, shrink through a dry summer, and masonry walls above them crack — through mortar beds, through bricks, and diagonally across openings where the stress concentrates.

Always. For every decorative finish we prepare physical sample boards in your chosen colour and sheen, and we recommend viewing them in the actual room, in both daylight and artificial light. Venetian plaster in particular changes character completely between the two.
A large share of our decorative work comes through architects, designers and Tier 1–3 builders. We are comfortable working to a specification, providing system data for submission, and coordinating with other trades on programme.
Yes. Premier Render & Plaster operates under builders licence BLD 340668 and carries public liability insurance. Certificates are available on request for commercial submissions.
It depends on the system, the number of coats, the substrate condition and the access. A polished lime Venetian on a prepared feature wall sits well above a standard paint finish and well below stone cladding. We quote per project after a site inspection so the number you receive is the number you pay.
A single feature wall is typically two to four days including preparation and curing between coats. Whole-of-home or commercial applications are programmed on inspection. Lime-based systems cannot be rushed — the cure is part of the finish.
